Awww, all butthurt because because no one takes her seriously...

When you're ready to join in the grown up conversations, rather than just thinking you're clever for parodying a parody, let us know. I'll be in my cave, not taking you seriously.
8 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Saturday 1/18/14 - 2:34:47 PM EST (GMT-5)
It totally sounded like you were the butthurt one.

The existence of this question show's whose panties were all of a bunch. I don't care either way. You clearly do, or you wouldn't have written this dumb as all f**k question.

Okay, a couple points:

1. I'm sorry but I have xx chromosomes and a high level of estrogen so you've got to give me a bit of a break here. Of course, these things are going to affect my ability to contribute anything significant. Please be considerate. I was trying to participate in grown up conversation before you popped in here but now your presence is hurting my uterus and making it even harder for me to think.

2. I'm not even wearing panties currently.
8 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Saturday 1/18/14 - 3:08:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
...and I probably wasn't wearing any then either!

No, I don't. Equality and all.

I'll try, but promise nothing. Your honesty is, however, refreshing.

I find it funny whenever GS tells someone to lighten up or pull a stick out of their ass.

Since his own stick seems permanently stuck.

I know you don't think women are oppressed now, but if you're actually trying to argue that women were never oppressed then you've really gone off the deep end.

Some women, to be sure, but let's not exaggerate. And certainly to liken women's place in history to slavery is just plain offensive.

In America, at least, people of color got the right to vote before women did. Whatever oppression women have ever experienced has the counterpoint that on some level, the oppressors "meant well" and thought they were doing what was best for women, misguided as it may have been in many, many ways. But in that way, the oppression of women continues to thrive b/c it does slide under the radar so much. Slavery, for example, was horrible, and probably the more intense atrocity, but that's also why it was addressed directly and firmly. Oppression of women has rarely been universally agreed on, and b/c so much of it goes undetected, it doesn't get addressed as effectively. If slavery is an open wound, sexism is internal bleeding.

Good grief, do you suck at diplomacy. I know diplomacy can be synonymous w/ mincing words at times, and that being clear is sometimes compromised by wimpy diplomacy, but sometimes - - like HERE - - diplomacy can be the style that makes people consider your substance.

What you meant, surely, is that w/in the context of a male dominated society, male accomplishments will be more prevalent. Therefore, if we wish to represent the resulting history accurately, males will be more represented. Cut all that context out, though, and it essentially sounds like you're approving that as genetic fact and as acceptable moving forward.

Actually no, I don't. I just have desire or need to be diplomatic in this thread.

If people want to misinterpret what I said to suit their own prejudices and agendas, not only can't I stop them, but I have no wish to do so.

It's much easier to just let them parade their ignorance, and shake my head sadly in disbelief.

Nope! Some of the leads are male, so it's already failed.
