Honestly, they're cute, but I wouldn't use them. It'd be neat if the disposable pads looked as interesting. If there were nifty looking disposable pads, I'd use those.

How stupid, menstruation is just that, the body cleaning out the garbage accumulated over a month's time if a woman has not 'created life' within that time frame.

I'd rather just rip my uterus and ovaries out and feed it to small orphans.
If you couldn't tell, I don't find my menstural cycle 'empowering' or 'sacred'. I find it to be a nusiance.
But I prefer tampons anyway. I hate pads because it's like wearing a freakin' diaper. I hate that.

i'd try it. why not? i don't have that much of a problem with the blood, its the way it makes me feel that i hate most.

I probably wouldn't (since I only have a period every three months and they're rather light), but I don't see why everyone is saying they're gross or disgusting. They aren't much different than cloth baby diapers. Much less wasteful. If I had normal periods I would give them a try.

I've been using cloth pads and washing them out for years.

Rather than buying premade menstrual pads, I use 'prefolded' diapers. They work quite well, and are much cheaper.

A cloth pad doesn't get 'full' as quickly as a disposable pad - except on my heaviest days, I don't have to change them while I'm out. And you can always use disposibles on heavy days when you're out, and cloth pads other times. It's not an either/or proposition.
