I usually wrap the larger or ``main`` gift in the outside design and the other in the reverse.

I first learned of two-sided wrapping paper when a friend of mine threw my first bridal shower. Two of the women that came to the shower used the exact same wrapping paper and did exactly the same thing. They both got me two things and wrapped one in the outside design and the other with the other side. Then a co-workers daughter would always have one of those catalogues for school for all this holiday stuff and there was always wrapping paper and one always had the reversible. One year, there was also a twin pack where the patterns matched, but not reversible. I use these if I'm giving two gifts also.

I always use wrapping paper, even though I do love gift bags a lot. They're just so much more expensive.

I prefer (when giving or receiving) wrapping, but there are some people who are so bad at it, I'd rather they'd use a bag. Also, bags can be reusable, which is happy for the environment. My favorite bag are some really cool looking pillow case size (they may even be just festive pillow cases) that have a ribbon sewn into the hem around the opening to work as a drawstring. We've used these now for well over a decade ever since my wife and I got some gifts in them.

But I think wrapping is more formal, a better presentation.

I've never seen those bags you're talking about. Those sound cool!

I prefer using gift bags, mainly because I SUCK at wrapping really badly.
Cash, I'm one of those people whom you would prefer to receive a bag from unless it's something simple like a book.

Wrapping is more formal, it shows more effort, so I try my best to wrap.

Gift bags are bullsh*t

If I'm getting a present, I want the fun of tearing paper off something

Sometimes what I'll do too, is wrap the gifts but then put them into a gift bag besides. My Secret Santa did that this year.

I think my mom may have just made them, either from pillow cases or from fabric (a pillow case being a rather simple pattern).

Wrapping paper. It's always more fun to rip the paper apart than to just pull something out of a bag. It's just more exciting somehow.

Has she ever made up a bunch of those and sold them at a craft show? If not, she should really think about doing that!

Almost positive that's exactly what happened BW. She's crafty like that, and so she probably either got them at a craft show or made them for one (she does more with painting and sculpting).
