On March 16th 2014, a vote was held as to whether Crimea would become part of Russia. 80% of people turned out, and voted 93% in favour. But should the result be considered illegal?

Isn't session usually illegal?
Besides legal/illegal, it doesn't seem like it was designed to really give people much of an option in their voting.

i think most constitutions of countries state that secession is illegal.
but a 93% yes vote seems to be suspicious, and we all know how shady russia can be behind the scenes.
