I've seen a lot of people (mostly girls) who have been doing this lately. Perhaps its just a California thing.

In the summer, I often wear shoes without socks.
But I do live in that tropical paradise called England!

No. I don't. The only footwear I wear without socks is the obvious...sandals, flip flops, or high heels.

Only for short periods of time when I dont want to find socks to wear for less than 5 minutes, like going out to get the mail or to get something out of my car.

Sometimes I do because I just can't be bothered to find or wear socks.

Only when I'm too lazy to put on socks when I check the mail.

I have loafers that I thought wouldn't be ruined by my sweaty feet.
Boy was I wrong!

Yeah, sometimes when I can't find any clean socks. That's why my shoes reek.

My feet would smell so bad if I didn't wear socks, so no.

When the shoes are flip-flops or sandals, then yes, all the time. But regular shoes, not very often. If I'm running outside into the snow and cold just briefly I might just slip my bare feet into my sneakers, but that's about it.

This.
Otherwise, I'd get blisters and make my shoes smelly.

I wear slip slops and ballet flats without socks. Anything closed I will wear socks, cos it's uncomfortable otherwise.
