Birth of a Nation? I don't think so.

Anyway, classics are classics for a reason. Remakes usually suck, although not always.

An Affair to Remember was itself a remake of a 30s movie, and it was remade again as Love Affair in the 90s.

About the only remakes I've liked are:

-Remakes of 50's horror films to disguise the overt "communist threat" theme. (The Thing, Invasion of the Body Snatchers)

-Comedies designed to parody. (excluding the ______ Movie films)

-Ripoffs of Akira Kurosawa intended to appeal to the American audience. (Magnificent Seven, A Fistful of Dollars, Star Wars)

Only if you mean remade to fit the modern time period, and only if it's done well.

Star Wars was not quite a remake of The Hidden Fortress. Both movies were excellent, both were very similar, but not the same.

No!

Leave them alone. Remakes are always rubbish.

I will not be watching the new version of The Dambusters.

The classics are usually better than the new versions

No. People need to stop remaking movies. It's just stupid, and the original is always better. Just leave them alone. FFS.

I cannot think of any movie that should be remade.

I'd like to see some silent films remade
Just to see how they'd turn out

It'd be cool if there were a rule that you couldn't remake a movie until a certain amount of time has passed

like, recently...they remade Total Recall and....that's just...too soon. Wait like 60 years, please.

I dunno, are there even any of those left?

It will be interesting to see what they do with the Dunkirk story.

The original version was so overdone it looks like it was made in 1941 as a propaganda film.

I'd like to see a remake of Bugsy Malone.... not because I'm into 12 year old chorus girls. They should do it with all the original cast at 50 something.
