Should climate change be afforded the same taboo as evolution in the high school class room?

Exactly. Science should be taught in science class. I say this is a devout evolution-believing (with a belief in at least partially human-caused climate change as well) Christian.

Climate change should be more of a taboo than evolution.

That is that climate change has not yet suffered the rigors that evolution by natural selection has.

If all the conspiricies about climate change were given the time to be examined then there would be little of any substance to discuss further.

Unfortunately the self generating conspiricy machine (of which Chugstim is a prime example), would prevent any other learning on any other subject, while students get a full time grounding in the disemination of bollocks.

If climate change isn't real, which I think is a possibility since earth goes through cycles of hot and cold anyway, it's still a good way to scare kids into recycling etc.
