It is human nature to only be out for themselves. Sure we may say we will stick together now, but when that time comes, 99% of the population will have that "f*ck you Im only looking out for number one" mentality. I myself would only be worrying about my family, and probably wouldn't worry about anyone else.

I think there'd be "clans," where people would band together in small groups, but the whole world wouldn't band together, I don't think.

I think I'd go with the "clique" idea. I think we'd take care of ourselves, sure, but also those with whom we're closest. I don't know how much we'd bond with strangers.

Not sure about other countries, but after 9/11 there was a real sense of fraternity in America, so I would guess they might band together...for the most part anyway.

In the past, we've shown that we'll fight together when what we think of as "freedom" is threatened.

Humans are fairly weak animals individually. Our strength lies in our ability to cooperate, and any meaningful resistance against alien invaders would require the world's most intelligent people to come together to find a method of defeating them.

It would be better to form small resistance encampments, in different locations, while accumulating weaponry, depending on alien attributes, social Darwinism should take effect.
