My pedagogical urge oscillates wildly between complete indifference and burning desire to share. I wouldn't become a teacher or everything, but occasionally someone unfortunate enough to become stuck in a lift with me might get a hit of well meaning teachin'.

If I had a speciality, I'd like to pass it on, but I expect to probably work at jobs that new generations wouldn't need me to explain for them.

I'm not sure what's intended by the latter choice, but I certainly think both are possible. My idea of enjoying it does not mean lolling away on beaches and golf courses. It means volunteering, going to more cultural events, putzing around the house, etc.

At the current rate, I'll be able to retire in my early 50s. I'll definitely get another job and work another 10 years or so, God willing. That second job would probably still involve the qualifications I used in my career, but it would probably be more laidback and enjoyable, too, in that it will be on my terms that I work, not theirs.
