I don't understand the logic of your question.

When I didn't have my ipod, I was always listening to my old tape walkman.

I guess they can do.

Not really, people still communicate, although increasingly infrequentely.

Yeah, but having that excuse takes away my opportunity to be rude.

Why would they--because people are too caught up in listening to their ipods to socialize?

Even then that's a huge stretch, because the majority of the world doesn't even have an ipod to begin with. It doesn't apply to a large enough portion of the population to have any notable effect.

No... I guess you are saying people listen to their Ipods and shut off the world. I'd say cellphones are doing that more.

I had a homeless guy steal an ipod for me, and all it cost me was a bottle of vodka and a stogie.

I agree.
I see way too many people eating at restaurants and they aren't even talking to each other but rather texting on their cell phones.

All your comments are so pointless.

No, they kind of make them more personal when they share their taste in music.

People are always impersonal. Ipods just let them be impersonal with the help of electronics!
15 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Thursday 1/11/07 - 7:34:00 AM EST (GMT-5)
Not nearly as much as cell phones do.

I hate it when you're trying to talk to someone and they don't take their earphones out, it's so rude and annoying.

If by 'personal' you mean 'doesn't want to be forced to endure the inane grunts of 6 billion apes', yes, they do make people impersonal.
15 yrs ago - Wednesday 7/25/07 - 7:28:33 PM EST (GMT-5)
They way I see it.

Talk to people I don't want to talk to.
Listen to ipod.

Hmmm... Tough choice.

15 yrs ago - Wednesday 7/25/07 - 7:34:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, there have been and always will be people lacking human emotion or warmth.
