What do you mean by being taught about abortion? I got the image of coathangers and it made me queasy.

Certainly the stages of fetal development should be taught.

About abortion, I'm less sure. Possibly how it's done and potential complications, both physical and emotional, and how to deal with said complications, where to aquire an abortion safely, where to aquire abortion counseling, and possible alternatives.

It already is here.
Part of my PSE deals with Euthanasia, Abortion and the death penalty.

I think so yes, regardless of your feelings towards abortion it should be taught as an option, and the female can weigh her own morals on the situation and choose whether or not to agree with it.

Maybe, since someone can get a better understanding of it, and know which choice to make in the future if it comes down to it.

To be honest, and some people may see this as extreme but its the best solution:

I would propose madatory abortions for all people unless they held a child license. Just a license obtained by people who can afford to support a child without using them as a tool to maximise benefits and attend a class on the basics of child caring (simple stuff like changing a nappy) and a background check to verify they arent a known threat to children. It would cost would-be parents £30 or so but anyone wanting to start a family would be haqppy to do this

You might think this is stripping personal freedom but it would drastically cut the numbers of dangerous and innapropiate parents, not inflict anguish on a new human beings and save countries millions/billions in a wide range of goverment sectors, money that could be spent on other things. Im not forcing my view but if you disagree speak to anyone working within benefits, nspcc/child cruelty or any fostered child.

The current state of law in the situation of pregnancy, and the "options" (for lack of a better word, I wouldn't encourage the teaching of abortions being a freely available and desirable option) available to those in that situation should be made aware to people, so yes.

I agree with that.

Yeah, I think it would have been better if the question said "about abortions"

Well kids should have the information about it. And by information, I mean facts. I don't think they should watch a video hosted by Walter the Wire Hanger on why abortions are buckets of fun and everyone should get one, but you know. Kids should know facts.

Yes, it should considering that some females prefer to have an abortion than to keep the baby. I think that when it comes to sex and education teenagers should know everything.
