Waaaaay back when, when I was in the dating scene, I always paid my own way. ALWAYS. Only when I got into a commited relationship did I feel comfortable enough to pay for both, or have him pay. I don't think there should be a refund, I just think until you get to know eachother a little better, don't pay for anyone but yourself! lol |

I think that when one a first date, the couple should split the bill. That way no one is financially burdened. Also, if a guy doesn't pay for a girls meal, maybe it will help eliminate the myth that when a guy pays, he deserves sex.

I remember last year or so ABC had this big special on a few girls dating through online services in New York. This one girl was going out on 2-3 dates a week trying to find "Mr.Right", but she got really upset when a guy didnt offer to pay for her. Like she didnt realize that if a guy dated like that looking for Mrs. Right, he'd probably be dropping a ton of money in the process, while she's at least getting free dinner.
