alchemy and astrology are not beliefs like theism is the belief in a god or gods. furthermore, there is no oppossite to either alchemy or astrology like atheism is the oppossite of theism. finally, this question is retarded.

No, the people who believe in those are significant minorities. Also, people who believe in astrology are irrational, but I don't make a big fuss about it, most don't REALLY believe it but just do it for fun. I don't think anyone seriously believes in alchemy over chemistry. If anyone does, they've got to be some of the worlds stupidest people. If you know anyone who believes in alchemy over chemistry, slap them on the back of the head from me. In generally, the word you're looking for to describe people who don't believe in those things is 'rational', or maybe 'sane'.

Most likely, I would think, because we don't have a convenient way to name them. Atheist is easy, add prefix a- to root theist.

Scientology was just recently founded, while astrology and alchemy possibly before Christ. It would thus be unfair to call them Scientologists.

No, because there's absolutely no need for such a word. It's just unnecessary to put a label on the counterparts of such obvious minorities, as you'd be categorizing most of the world rather than the usual small group. You don't see anyone going and putting a name to everyone who doesn't believe that the world is flat, do you? Of course not. Because there's absolutely no need for such a name, as only the obvious minority would ever put it to use.

The question smacks of implications that theism is just as ludicrous as astrology, which it's clearly not...

You mean the assumption that astrology is more ludicrous than theism? Theism has a basis in philosophy and meta-physics, whereas astrology is much more arbitrary. There's no real evidence for it, other than anecdotal.
