They pursue those policies in the hope that disgruntled working class and elderly people vote for them, their policies would never ever work if they got into government they just pick out the things that people are pissed off about and say they could do them better.

I know. I was pointing out that their ideology and their policies don't fit. When it comes down to it they are just a group of racists using any means possible to gain power.

There is also a splinter group that won a council seat - The England First party. Basically the same except they identify more with England than Britain.

I'm all for freedom of speech/thought but it does sadden me that so many people vote for such a ridiculous party.

That is ridiculous. "The English" aren't inherently racist and to say so is using the very same ridiculous generalisations racists use. I'm English, and I am not racist, and I am left wing. Some may even say far left. I would be the first to criticise Britain's colonial past and as far as I am concerned the actions of that time have nothing to do with me. The statement you have just come out with is as stupid as the Germans are Nazis, the Russians are Communists or the Mongols are horse-riding raiders, all generalisations from a historical stereotype that have no relevence today.

i gotta say that appeals to me. i dont agree with thier more racist side things, though i do support a cut back on imigration and instant deportation of illegal imigrants.

an increased bnp presence in parlement would be a good thing, shake things up a little and stop the hippy approach and hopefull let it be known that discrimination works both ways eg
the police have several unions for officers to join
1) womens police union
2)gay/lesbain police union
3)black/asian police union etc etc

there is no union specificaly for males or white officers because its deamed descrimatory, which in itself is descimatory because white guys have no union.

and the hippy approach to policing and is foolish under the current law if a police offer asks a suspect a question more than 3times its a violation of thier human rights and the suspect can go free. its insain.
