that is so stereotypical.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 6:35:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes....all women belong in the kitchen and all men should be out bringing home the bacon.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 6:38:03 PM EST (GMT-5)
*smile* actually I am a man who thinks with my feelings:)

I feel hurt by this question *sobs*
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 6:39:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
Thinking and feeling aren't separated actions.

Certain females' thoughts are guided more by emotions than logical processes, and others' thoughts are guided more by logical processes than emotions. The same goes for males. Either way, it can't be generalized so simply in terms of gender alone.

16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 6:41:28 PM EST (GMT-5)
*smile* of course not...because I can't think without feeling, because I get emotionally wrapped in my thoughts....

anyone who is intrapersonal deeply is like this boy or girl

People who use that eye rolling smiley are a cancer upon this site.

Aburame, was that response productive toward anything? Or are you just being mean?

That was his way of acknowledging that this question was pretty shallow

16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:01:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
Am I right Aburame?
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:03:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't think it's shallow at all, people need to quit being pussies and admit how they really feel about men and women, to me it coudln't be more obvious that women react first with their hearts and not their minds, and vice versa.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:07:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
not true...as a man my thoughts and feelings go together. So neither is always true

OK....technically the heart is an organ that pumps blood around the brain.

And yes men and womens brains sometimes react differently when faced with certain situations. But it's not as clear-cut as you make it out to be in your question.

16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:10:04 PM EST (GMT-5)
The whole heart vs. mind thing is annoying. We all know that the brain controls the heart..

Maybe more women appear to think based on emotions first, but maybe men don't necessarily display their emotional thought processes as readily.

16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:12:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
It's a short question newt, not a damn essay, the elaboration is in the comments and debates, if the question answered itself it would be pointless.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:12:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
but not all men and not all women

like my emotions are well-known what I am feeling when I feel it

Or maybe you should just give up these cultural stereotypes altogether.

16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:14:01 PM EST (GMT-5)
Not all stereotypes are all 100% false, they all have their basis in some original fact. Of course there's no assesment of behavoir that explains the actions of every single human being, you guys are being asanine by saying that we couldn't come to any conclusions that aren't universally applicable, because they don't exist.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:14:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
There must be some differences between men and women, not necessarily those. We can consider possibilities even if they are just cultural stereotypes.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/27/06 - 7:16:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think it's more about being highly in-tune to yourself or not. If you are in tune with your feelings you can explore them very broadly.

Are you a psychiatrist?
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 3/28/06 - 8:43:55 AM EST (GMT-5)
^Why do you think that? Can only psychiatrists figure that out
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 3/28/06 - 9:00:30 AM EST (GMT-5)
Haha, what a stereotype. I think it can go both ways, but women are more likely to express emotions than men.
With the phrase "Love is blind", (feeling without thinking) I think it's applicable for everyone. And, materialism, or ruthlessness (thinking without feeling) really depends on the person's conscience or character.

A truer statement has never been uttered.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 4/2/06 - 4:09:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't feel without thinking or think without feeling, usually.

Absolutes are hardly ever true, so no.

I do realize that generally men are more rationally motivated and women are more emotionally motivated. I think this is (mostly) due to our conditioning, though.
