Not really, it's kind of a good reflection in a way. Drinking water is still free in America, anyone can get it. But it's beautiful capitalism at work if you can choose different brands that taste better than free tap water.

Where I live we drink mainly tap water. If we drink bottled water it's usually carbonated.

Problem is, the kiddies are getting tooth decay from not having their daily dose of flouride from their tap water, as mineral water usually doesn't contain this.

Flouridation is definitely not a communist conspiracy to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids.

i drink mainly tap water because it's lovely here. I don't think it's a sad reflection of anything

No, I haven't really thought about it...I don't think so

Well no, at least not here. Tap water tastes like metals, and I've had mild poisoning from drinking tap water in some places.

There have been so many taste tests about bottled water and tap water, where tap water has won. That makes me wonder..but at the same time, if it encourages people to drink water then I guess it's good.

Nice job copying a question from a politics site..............

And yes.

With the millions and millions of different types of contaminants that can be and normally are in our drinking water, no, I don't.

Water isn't always that good in certain areas, but humans have become really spoiled and picky.

Water is water I suppose. I don't think fluorine in the water is a good idea though. I'm sure discouraging fizzy drinks and sweets to children will be far more beneficial. I think it's sick that some companies thrive off encouraging children to eat rubbish.

Excellent job stealing this question straight from the political compass test.

I'd say it's a slightly sad reflection on society and our consumerism, but I can think of much better examples.

I think I voted disagree on the politcal compass test, fyi.

All the basics are branded consumer products. Food, water, clothing and shelter. Anything can be an accessory to a status symbol if thats what you want it to be.

I've seen that, on 20/20 - I don't know what tap water they are giving these people, but it's definitely not the tap water from this city

I just wish that it would cause people to value water more and not waste so much of it at home. It kills me to watch someone rinse leaves off their driveway with a hose rather than rake them.
