Stick insect??? I had a pet rat for a couple years. Rats make very nice pets, actually. Contrary to popular belief, they are very clean animals and can even be trained to do simple tricks. Mine liked to be held and cuddled. I've had pet mice over the years.

I had 2 rats, they had such individal personalities and were a lot of fun, sadly they both had to be put down because of cancer this year

^Yes, a friend from high school had a pet rat and I thought it was the coolest thing and wouldn't shut up about it, so my parents got pet rats for my brother and me for Christmas one year. Then our friends thought it was cool, and before too long a bunch of people we knew had pet rats...

I had a lab rat, but I earned $10 from offering him a career in science. A n00b guy I met on YT not long ago (and who I haven't seen lately) actually had a naked rat, but they are not rodents.

Rats make great pets. My last one I had, I taught it a bunch of tricks using hand signals. She was much smarter than the dog I have now, not like that is saying much. Little known rat fact; if you cage a rat it will spend all its time trying to get out, but if you leave the cage door open they won't try to leave.

Second of all, naked rats are rodents, they're just of the hairless variety.
