Do you find that people of your own generation relate more to your art, than people of previous generation(s)?
This would be a natural occurence, of course.

However, I am still curious what it is like for others.

Not really. I think modern art is mostly a bunch of crap. Why else is funding for art being questioned an no longer a priority?

It all depends on the person. I myself find I can dive into any form of art from any time and relate to it in a major way.

Are you answering this from the opposite perspective, as in the one who relates to art of others?

Because I am asking if the art YOU produce is generally more liked by older folks, or the ones closer to your own age bracket.

Just because we live in 2005 and not in the era of heavy influence by the French Academy, does not mean that only modern art is produced. Many prefer to work in Classical and more conservative styles.
And that's only fine arts we are talking about. This question is not at all limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.

That's why I said "mostly."

I think my writing is usually read by older people (well, older than me xP). This may or may not be because my generation is almost wholly illiterate or tasteless when it comes to literature.

Well, I guess playing classical music can "relate" to the previous generations as well as today's...

Hehehe...the senior citizens at the nursing home asked me to get out of school to play the flute for them, if that tells you anything.

No, people my parents' age seem to appreciate my drawings more than my peers.
