#16, my boyfriend is a total geek and he knows it. He's getting shirts from thinkgeek.com for his birthday and he's getting me a shirt that says "I my geek"!

He takes pride in it. My mom keeps asking him to come over to fix computer stuff for her.

Yeah he admits he's a geek. But he's nice to look at too.

I don't have one at the moment, but I'll admit to being a geek.

Yes he's a major geek. Huge Trekkie and everything. He can still hang with the "cool" guys though and jam with them on guitar. He's a cool geek. It works with us cause I'm a dork.

I'm sure they would, if I had one. Basically I just wanted to comment that I hate that shirt on the left. The word "geek" is not a complete sentence, it isn't capitalized, why does it require a period? What kind of a poser geek would buy a shirt like that?

My boyfriend is kind of proud of it. But I think he prefers dork over geek.
16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Monday 10/31/05 - 6:20:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
A guy friend of mine is a self proclaimed computer geek.
16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Tuesday 11/8/05 - 7:37:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
He seems pretty proud of being called 'the comic book guy.' I think that pretty much answers the question.
16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Tuesday 11/8/05 - 7:48:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes he prolly would but he's not a geek.
:]
16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Tuesday 11/8/05 - 7:49:48 PM EST (GMT-5)

16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Wednesday 11/9/05 - 5:03:59 AM EST (GMT-5)
I have been out with people that have. But not in the computer way, just general nerdiness.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 11/18/05 - 7:58:40 PM EST (GMT-5)

My bf doesn't even know he's a geek.
He knows way more of using computers and the different types than an average person, but he keeps comparing his knowledge with my admin skills. Which is an unfair comparison because we have different area's of expertise. I'm an admin and webengineer, he's a graphics person and Mac user.

2 of my friends are the token geek couple. They are so hilarious!! They talk about video games. And the guy is a really good waltzer...
16 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 1/7/06 - 7:26:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
He's not really a geek in the sense of huge backpack, huge glasses, computer geek. But hes a geek in the stuff he says and does. He'd admit that. x

Geek has far surpassed the stereotypic computer nerd with glasses look of the 80s and early 90s. I admitted to geekery, as have most of my friends, and one of my SO's did also.
16 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Monday 2/13/06 - 8:39:54 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes I think so.

It's to add emphasis. It's to show they're proud of it.

Yes! I'm a geek, and I know it, so I wouldn't be with someone who was ashamed of their geek factor.
