It's a little offensive, yeah. The fact that every female super heroine has D+ cup boobs and wears the skimpiest costume possible is pretty ... Annoying. As for the unrealistic men, too... The only thing there is their muscles. They aren't wearing giant strapons or something, whereas females basically are.  Plus the males are covered. None of them are in just a g-string or something. |

Gives me the implication that if you don't fit the above, then no, you can't fly around rescuing people and have superpowers. Its even worse in manga. Makes you wonder if these people who are drawing it really beleive its fake, and that no, no one can wear that and look good in real life.

Nah, what dontdoubtND said goes for me too. I seem to notice how unrealisticly men are drawn as opposed to women to for some reason. Maybe because I find muscular guys unattractive... As for barbie dolls. I find them more stupid then comics. Only because thier target audience is little girls, and comics is young males (mostly). And I have to say, comics are drawn WAY more realisticly than any barbie I've ever seen. |
