Not at all, I don't think we are anywhere close to having troops leave Iraq. I just read the other day that Bush is sending 270,000 more than he even planned on a couple months ago.

Maybe it won't turn into another Veitnam after all. Maybe it will be like the Crusades.

270,000?!? We only have something like 130,000 there now... well, time to roll out that draft. No, I think every one of those deaths is sad, senseless, and ultimatly not getting us any closer to anything posative.

For one, it's not only American's who are dying in Iraq. And secondly, it will be the accusing photographs of prisoner toture which will eventually see the troops pulled out, not allied deaths.

You would think. Dont forget the at least 100,000 innocent Iraqi civilians who died. I feel so sorry for my Shiite friend. Before the war started he mentioned to me that the war would be easy because there are only four people that needed to be killed/captured. He doesnt know America very well yet.

No, like most people posted above, I think that the number of dead troops has no bearing on whether we will continue the war. It is sad but I think that is how this administration handles the war.

The way the last election went proves that most people enjoy seeing dead american bodies pile up and the government couldnt care less. So, I think the war will go on for as long as the Bush administration wants to feel macho.

American troop loss has absolutely nothing to do with how long we will stay. We will stay until Iraqi forces can handle the security of their own country. It is completely naive to believe we are in a war in Iraq so that the Bush administration can feel "macho". You probably also believe we are over there for oil.
