I've worked 16 hours straight when I was 16 for minimum wage which I payed taxes on. It was a nice paycheck becasue I worked 10+ hours the next day, but it sucked and am pretty sure was ilegal for my former place of work.

I used to work Sat afternoon 4:00 to Sunday morning 6:00 every week when I managed a bowling center. I was salaried, so I was taking it right up the poop chute as far as pay went.

The 18 - 29 age range is not too young to work. Kids should have regular chores before the age of 8, and at least a part time job by age 16. Yes, I have worked more than 12 hours in one shift. During planting and harvesting, its not uncommon to work all day and late in the night and then up at dawn the next day.

Two consecuetive 14 hour shifts after five days of 12 1/2 hour shifts. Stupid sun, always blazing down on the poor working stiffs.
