I love them both up until the mid 90's when they both started to suck a bit. Prince's early funky stuff like 'I Wanna Be Your Lover' and the whole Revolution thing and Sign Of The Times etc. was a great time for him. But personally I have to go with Jacko, he may be an insane, tree-climbing, skin-bleaching, baby-dangling psycho but 'Rock With You', 'Billie Jean', 'Beat It' and 'Thriller' are songs that I still love and listen to on a regular basis. Off The Wall is one of the greatest pop albums of all time and Thriller is even better than that. And that's all without mentioning The Jackson 5 and later the Jacksons. But he's still a big ass freak.

True they're both freaks but I've always got the feeling with Prince that he realises how big a freak he is. As if he's playing freaky little jokes on us, the crazy stuff he says in interviews, the reclusive nonchalance and the ridiculous name changing... I think Jacko thinks he's a 100% sane guy. Which is the scary thing.

MJ's got a lot more hits than Prince. However, Prince is by far a better musician. The man can play some serious guitar. I appreciate that.

Not my style of music, but I'm from the Twin Cities area in MN where Prince is from. And my parents were raised here so I am forced to listen to him. I can't help to love 7 or When Doves Cry though. Enough is enough though.
