There's no question that it's Robinson. Leonard was great, but just becasue he copied his name doesn't mean he was anywhere close to the original. Roy Jones, Jr. has a claim to that unofficial title, though.

im suprised so many have voted for Leonard, I would have also thought it was Robinson easily.

It is Robinson, and easily. There's just name recognition with Leonard.

I am rusty, but I went through a phase in adolescence where I was a freak about boxing history. "Raging Bull" is pretty accurate. LaMotta and Robinson fought 5 times. Jake won the first, then lost the last 4, including the one from the movie where Robinson nearly beat him to death and LaMotta wouldn't go down. Robinson was the best.

Marvelous Marvin Haggler was good too, I've got a video of him somewhere at home that my dad gave me.

robinsons bouts with Lamotta alone prove that he is better than leonard. no question about it, and hagler won that fight agains leonard, who cares what the judges say

I would have to say that a pound of sugar is a pound of sugar. Personally, I was a fan of Haggler...
