Hmm...that's a tough one. I think trust is more of an individual thing. But if I had to pick I'd probably trust judges more.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Monday 7/28/03 - 8:34:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
Don't ask me why, because I don't think I can back it up, but I honestly think I'd trust the politician.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Monday 7/28/03 - 8:41:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
i'd trust judges
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Monday 7/28/03 - 8:43:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
Politicians approve of and make laws, so it's easier to mistrust them.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 7/30/03 - 7:32:51 AM EST (GMT-5)
Neither, really. But it all depends on the situation.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 7/30/03 - 7:40:36 AM EST (GMT-5)
Most judges are politicians. Most judges are elected.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 7/30/03 - 7:55:29 AM EST (GMT-5)
so judges are elected in Texas? They are appointed here (usually by the Prime Minister or the Premier)...
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 7/30/03 - 7:57:14 AM EST (GMT-5)
I trust judges far more,I think the majority of judges are quite capable of setting all personal feelings aside and making decisions based only the law, which is exactly what they should be doing, politicians can't be trusted, their job is lying and maniupulation.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 7/30/03 - 7:57:33 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'd probably trust a Judge more, given that I don't trust politicians very much at all.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 7/30/03 - 8:00:30 AM EST (GMT-5)
Judges. At least with judges, they're *supposed* to be unbiased. Nobody even pretends to hold that ideal about judges.
18 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 7/30/03 - 8:01:20 AM EST (GMT-5)
Well, it's part of the judge's job to be trustworthy, but it's also a politician's job, which they usually don't respect. I'd say judges are generally easier to trust, especially local judges. My dad is on good terms with several judges, so he knows they are trustworthy. Not that they would be more lenient with him, but would make responsible decisions. I don't know if I could say the same thing for the Supreme Court Justices.
18 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 8/2/03 - 1:25:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think judges have less to lose than politicians for being honest.
18 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 8/2/03 - 2:04:35 PM EST (GMT-5)
Judges, they don't have to worry about re-election.
18 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 8/2/03 - 2:22:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
Any judge I've ever met was really on the ball. Invariably people bullsh*t judges. If you state your case without exegeration they will look at the blustering opposition and give you as much leeway as they can. Judges hate people who think they can fool them.
18 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 8/2/03 - 4:30:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
Judges...politicans are too sneaky. Judges, usually, are more based on facts.
18 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Wednesday 9/24/03 - 10:17:57 AM EST (GMT-5)
Judges actually have a hell of a lot more to lose - like their license to practice law - if they f*ck up.

Some judges are elected, some are appointed. Judges, by nature of their profession, are held to a higher ethical standard than politicians.

I've dealt extensively with both politicians and judges and I can honestly say I've never shaken a judge's hand and had the undeniable urge to cleanse myself with Lysol. I cannot say the same about "politicians."

18 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Wednesday 9/24/03 - 10:18:51 AM EST (GMT-5)
judges areoften blackrobbed thugs who create law by fiat
18 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Wednesday 9/24/03 - 10:21:04 AM EST (GMT-5)
They are both in with each other!
18 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 9/29/03 - 11:01:36 AM EST (GMT-5)
Actually, politicians are more visible and accountable than judges. I shudder when I need to vote for them and there's never enough meaningful info about them to know if they're good or bad.
18 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 9/29/03 - 5:16:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
The job of a judge is honesty and I trust them far more than politicians.
18 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 9/30/03 - 12:36:22 AM EST (GMT-5)
neither i only trust myself

because i know all.

18 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 9/30/03 - 1:13:32 PM EST (GMT-5)
judges, it is there job to be fair.
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Sunday 10/5/03 - 9:37:43 AM EST (GMT-5)
Don't really know. I'd have to say judges.
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Monday 10/6/03 - 6:14:51 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'm a Law student from South Africa and from my knowledge of law (particularly in SA) I'd say that judges are more trustworthy because their decisions are held more accountable than politician's (to an extent)
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Saturday 11/1/03 - 12:05:59 PM EST (GMT-5)
Judges are politicians
