The problem is of course that the people who forbid their kids to read the books are the same people who don't know what it's about. Cause if they did, they'd know that the stories make no mention of devils, sacrifice, demons, summonings, religion in general or anything of the sort. Their magic comes from themselves and not from pacts with demons or the like. The main characters are good and heroic, while the bad guys are rather rotten. There is not a single bad teaching in these books. They emphasise friendship, sticking together and never giving up. Dudegirl, I refer you to my previous post.
