Music videos can add to the enjoyment of the song, if they're well-chosen...however, more often than not they blow...

It really depends. If they fit the song, it's great. If not, then it just-detracts from the song.

I find the songs dont suit the video or vice versa.
The lyrics can sometimes be miss leading.

Its like reading a book made into a movie. Usually the movie sucks because it is a director's point of view of how it should look. But your point of view may be much different. Now with music videos, I must admit, rarely any of the music I listen to is played on MTV anyway, so it doesn't matter much to me. The music they play sucks, sometimes the video makes it easier to tolerate the music.

sumtimes if tha videos r stupid then it can depreciate tha song but if itz a good song then it dusn't really matter. i've seen sum really awesome videos (none played on mtv) that are really awesome and make me love tha music even more, so i guess it all depends on how well tha music and video blend together and relate to the people watching them. so, a video won't ruin a song 4 me

It really depends. For some, they ruin the videos badly but for other they can be pretty good.
But since I'm a girl, I really don't enjoy seeing other girls almost naked in videos.
