I wait till I am getting to the end of my battery life before I charge it. I have a car charger, a charger at work, and one at my mom's so pretty much wherever I am I can charge my phone.
I hear that wearing your battery down will extend the life.

How do you know if you are overcharging? Mine is almost always on its base, is that bad?

Most phones have a cutoff switch on the battery so it can't get overcharged.

I just let it charge overnight, I don't know if it overcharges or not.

Overcharging is when you leave it in the charger for longer than necessary to charge it.
God, don't you people read the manuals that come with your phones?

one word of advice, never leave your battery charging when the charger isnt plugged into the wall. now that really ruins your battery. it just drains it.

It is very hard to over charge a lithium iron battery. Most newish phones have them
