It depends on if they are of a higher intelligence, chances are if they got here from way out there, they are. So I'd say yes, we have some cool stuff but we've done a lot of stupid stuff too..

They would be if they said "Take me to your leader."
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 10/3/02 - 1:05:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
They were. That's why they never came back since Roswell.

Haha Djm has a point!
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 10/3/02 - 1:11:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think we'd probably be disappointed. :p

If they turned up in some of the huge cities, then yes. But not if they visited some of the places of natural beauty.

I think we’d be disappointed. They probably wouldn’t be super cool high tech advanced species. They’d probably have their cultural and social differences but I doubt they’d be much different on the important things.
18 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Tuesday 3/25/03 - 2:08:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think they'd be more disgusted then disappointed..
18 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Friday 5/16/03 - 6:47:58 AM EST (GMT-5)
They'd wipe us out first, for being a potential threat to galactic order in the future. Or they might not even bother, because our species is so damn backwards and selfish that we will probably destroy ourselves and/or destroy our planet and it's ressources before we'd ever have the chance to go out into space.
18 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 5/29/03 - 4:50:49 AM EST (GMT-5)
I doubt they'd be disappointed. Our planet is hardly boring!
18 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 5/29/03 - 5:09:50 AM EST (GMT-5)
Has anyone noticed that the UFO sightings started soon after 1945 (including Roswell)? That would seem to indicate that after we nearly destroyed ourselves (WW2) they thought we were interesting enough to look at.
18 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 5/29/03 - 5:12:33 AM EST (GMT-5)
I think it would be cool to make a movie where aliens from the 1950s, with '50s movie special effects, appeared in medieval times, with surreal humor ensuing.
18 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 5/29/03 - 5:12:51 AM EST (GMT-5)
Or else a lot of them followed on from the Roswell sighting and were made by nutters or attentions seekers!
18 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 5/29/03 - 5:17:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'm not saying there aren't a lot of nutters and attention seekers out there. But have a look for yourself. Even ignoring the Roswell stuff, you'll find that many reports began to surface after 1945... but not many before then, if any.
18 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 5/29/03 - 5:58:35 AM EST (GMT-5)
i always think to myself(a hypothetical view),, if an alien chose me to be its Earth tour guide into helping him understand Earth and animal behavior, i would be honest and say "well i can tell you maybe disappointed by our structured goverment system and how must of us may seem carefree and reckless, but this is how we would learn in the future, through trial and error, and this is reason why we became the hunted to the hunters, because our intelligence will always grow even if disasters set us back, and if we didn't end up destroying ourselves in the process, i still believe we're a potent species with our individuality and curiosity to expand our abilities beyond our feeble body.

they'd probably be so darned irate they'd plasma-prod all of us to death. but that's just wishful thinking.
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Sunday 10/3/04 - 11:30:49 PM EST (GMT-5)
Depends on what they are expecting.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 1/6/05 - 10:40:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
If they have advanced space travel they probly have advance survalience systems too. They would know what they were getting into.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 1/6/05 - 10:45:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
They wouldn't be disappointed when they met me!

No they'd probably take a few people and *probe* them.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 1/6/05 - 10:49:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
They wouldn't be disappointed with Earth. They already know we're the Alabama of the universe.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 1/6/05 - 10:52:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
That made me laugh so hard Guinness came out my nose...
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 1/6/05 - 11:05:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
Hi, I'm Djm, and I am your personal sinus cleaner.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Friday 1/14/05 - 9:52:02 AM EST (GMT-5)
ha ha ha
on the side note I just went to the docter to see if I had sinus proplem. Yes I do, so I take these pills for 5 days

16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Friday 1/14/05 - 9:57:06 AM EST (GMT-5)
I don't think so. If they came here for scientific purposes, there are lots of environments and creatures, including humans, to study. If they came here to take over a planet, then we're easily enslaved.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 1/20/05 - 5:21:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
In some places, yes. In others, no.

They'd probably catch Siffilus if they landed in the east, anyway.
