I'm not saying that I couldn't love someone who made mistakes in the past, but to be entirely honest it would lead to a lot of questions in my mind. Not to mention the idea of never being able to achieve a normal sexual relationship with them. It would just make things a lot harder, so yes it's a turn off.

Yes, it's a turn-off. Why? Because I don't wanna choose either having the partner and getting the disease, or having the partner and going through a non-sexual relationship.

I would want to have a serious talk with my prospective partner to find out the circumstances of how they contracted it. If it was from a blood transfusion or if they were cheated on my while in a stable relationship, I wouldn't hold it against them. It would also depend on what type of STD it was. If the risk of contamination could be controled by condom use, I'd be willing to pursue a relationship.
