Saw it with the family last night and had a great time. There were plenty of good jokes throughout, and most of the musical numbers were great. After 20 years off, and with mostly new actors/writers, the characters all had the same feel to them, so that's pretty impressive.
A couple of complaints: At two hours, it's tough for a the under 5 crowd to sit through in its entirety. Secondly, I get that muppet movies are going to have their zany laughing moments counter-balanced by moments of heart and all things melancholy. However, this movie had a few too many "I'm really sad and I don't know how I'm gonna make it" scenes for my taste.

Honestly, it was really good. It was definitely more for the adults than the kids, though I think if I were younger I would have still enjoyed it.
The toy story short was decent, but not as good as the TS movies, obviously. It'd be nice if they made up more new plots for shorts, and not as much using the same characters in a short .

SUCH a good movie. My husband and I smiled through the whole thing. I even found myself getting a little teary eyed when they started to sing the intro to their show. Such nostalgia.

I'm going to see the muppets next weekend! I think my favorite part wwill be when everyone goes to sit on a toilet, then amy adums says "I think ill stand"? Then everyone else says "comfy"!

LOVED this! It took me back to my childhood. The Muppets have been gone for 20 years? Wasn't the last movie they did in the late nineties or something?

Its been off TV for 20. So unless these kids had parents who had it on DVD...or owned the movies, this could have easily been a first time introduction.

We had the tv show on DVD just for that purpose but a 3 year old isn't dazzled by Elton John or Raquel Welch as much as you might think.
We're hoping it'll play in a McMenamins theater so we can take the kids there to see it.

That would be awesome!
The mister and I were talking all the way home from this movie about what we would like our children to watch and not watch. There is just so much junk. But the muppets...those are gold!

I am glad new generations of kids will have the joy of discovering the muppets. Before all the high tech imagery and gadgets, there were these hand puppets and string puppets that captured our hearts with their quirks and buffoonery. Kudos to Jim Henson and company.

Loved it. Extremely well done. Loved the "fourth wall" humor

Very cool and meta. I liked all the meta jokes. It was very werll done all around. A little creepy but they were aware of that.
