I think this movie is absolutely worth seeing.

I saw it with four people and though everyone said they liked it, I don't think anyone liked it for the same reasons.

There's some politicky stuff, some CSI-style stuff, some nice emotional moments and the last 30 minutes are pretty much action movie standard thrill ride with a nice little punch to the gut at the very end.

It kept my attention the whole time, and was pretty shocking at times. It wasn't to political that it was hard to understand and the acting was excellent.

We watched and analysed the first five minutes of this in my international relations of the Mid East class. Apparently these guys are making headlines with their new way of teaching 70 years of Saudi history in five minutes. They got mostly everything right, in the creds at least, but I shall see the movie itself to see how it goes. I'm excited, though, it looks good.

Depressing, and gruesome. It's another in a long line of cop films, and doesn't add anything to the genre. It's just been made political by seting it in Saudi Arabia.

The very end, "We're going to kill them all." Who didn't see that comming? I feel cheated.

Alas, 'The Kingdom' was hugely disappointing and frustrating - which was a shame, as it had a good cast, a great look and feel, and an interesting premise with a lot of potential.

Unfortunately, though, 'The Kingdom' was also badly cliched, increasingly routine, and mostly ridiculous by the end.
