It was actually better than I thought it would be. I don't really care for Tim Burton that much, nor do I like Johnny Depp, but it was kind of a cute film. I can see why some people would like it.

....didnt know it was going to pull a disney-esque musical...

Have you not seen The Nightmare Before Christmas?
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

yes, but the comercials made it seem like there were no random break outs into singing.

Finally saw it. It wasn't bad, but I don't think it's worth buying on DVD.

I also wasn't expecting it to be a somewhat musical.

If it's Tim Burton/Danny Elfam, you have to half-expect song and dance.

I liked how there wasn't as much singing as in Nightmare B4,it gets kind of grating after awhile.I really liked this one tho.

I wasn't expecting to like it very much, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Nightmare before Christmas (I liked it, but I wasn't fanatic about it like some people!), but I thought it was really cute. I liked it. Johnny Depp makes an adorable cartoonish guy.

I saw it yesterday with a friend and it was okay

This was a really good movie! It's short and sweet, I went and took my grandma to go see it too, and she actually liked it too!!!

...Not to mention Johnny Depp makes a pretty darn hot cartoon person

I saw it! Awesome movie!

The imagery was beautiful, I love Burton's style. The story was a great idea, but somehow it didn't work for me. The songs (though expected when you're working with Elfman) just seemed out of place, I did like the short piano piece with Victor and the Bride.

It does look really good. I'm a big fan of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The NIghtmare Before Christmas are just some of my favourites.

I liked it. I didn't like the songs as much as I did the ones from NBC, but they were good nonetheless.

Finally got to see this the other night with my boyfriend.
It was purely Burton and I loved every moment of it.
Not only was it beautiful to watch, but the score was so fitting and Depp, Bonham Carter, Lee and Watson did wonderful jobs.

A wonderful adaptation of the Russian fairytale and my only rant is that it finished far too soon.

I thought it was grand. a little short but quite entertaining. Although....nothing beats Nightmare...
16 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 11/20/05 - 10:02:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
It's good, but it's not a patch on A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Nyeh. This was disappointing. Not that I had very high hopes for it, anyway. I do love Tim Burton and Danny Elfman's work for the most part, but this was boring. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

I saw it the other day - its awesome !!! Such a cool story and really atmospheric. Tim Burton is a legend!!!!
