This movie has been unfairly criticised by some as not being up to par to the first two; but I have to say I like them all equally. The relationship between Sofia Coppola and Andy Garcia was unnecessary though, and could have been left out.

Wow, I'm really surprised that people didn't bash this movie. I think it=ass. It's almost embarrassing that I and II are 2 of my favorite movies, and III blows. Don't get me wrong, it's a must see if you really like the trilogy, but if not, don't bother. It makes me ill to think that this movie exists.

I loved Andy Garcia in this movie, I love him in all his movies actually, but I didnt like Michael's daughter Mary at all, she cant act she's just reciting her lines.

Sofia Coppola's acting in this film is so bad it makes the skin crawl up my spine. Which is a shame because she's a fantastic director.

^i agree i didnt like her acting at all this movie was good but the first one, is the one that i really loved andy garcia acted well though and i bought his addition to the godfather series |

You know she was a last minute replacement. Wynona Ryder was casted for the role. And Duvall was missing because he didn't accept the difference between his wage and Pacino's wage. So the whole enterprise was shaky. It's a good movie, they had to do it; but there is something missing from the first two. |

It's really too bad that Winona Ryder didn't get the part, she would of been perfect for it. It would of made the movie a bit more appreciated anyway. Just because your the directors daughter doesn't mean you can get parts in a movie!

Ryder got ill few days before shooting started.. It was a last minute thing. And since Sofia did the part in the other Godfathers (was she born in #1 or 2?) he gave her the part. |

the reason that part III is crap compared to the other two movies is that all three movies are based on the godfather book by mario puzo, and part III is only covered briefly in the book...at the very end for like 100 pages or something like that...so hollywood had to add many parts to the movie, which caused it to lose the edge that parts I and II had...
