Maybe I'm just an old fashioned fart but I definitely prefer the Kerr/Brunner version with all the singing and stuff. Foster and Yun-Fat sure did a good job but somehow I had the feeling the movie was a bit undecided about wether it should be more modern or stay to the old-fashioned format.
Personally, I love this version of the movie. I thought that the acting was well-done, especially that of Chow Yun-Fat, who I think is greatly underrated as an actor in the States.
