I thought it was.... Ok.
Like. Visually it was good. Ben affleck was great. Wonder woman looked good and the whole justice league email scene didnt seem as forced as it could've been. I thought lex luthor was well acted, even if i didnt like how he was portrayed. I liked the action. The scene where the cripple blows everyone up i was like "oh f-ck" out loud and thought that was brilliant
Everything else.... Eh. Take it or leave it

That was a mess.
A big, loud, dumb, enjoyable mess.
And, whoever told Jesse Eisenberg to interpret Lex in that way be shot.

Heath Ledgers Joker was the most overrated thing in cinema in the past 50 years. It was annoying as f*ck.

Thank you for saying what I've been thinking for many years.
It was good, but really? Jack Nicholson's joker was better.

If home is an option, I'll always pick that, tbh. Who wouldn't? Crazy people, that's who.

I'll agree with the majority.
As a modern film held the the standards of most things modern, including poo super hero films, it was hilarious.
As a popcorn flick which at best means a blowy, yeah sure, some popcorn could be involved.

Well, it basically was an prelude to Justice League, and Suicide Squad is attached to that universe.

Then she's not much of a Batman fan. Guns, big deal. This notion that Batman won't kill is a new one.

I think it's based on how the current comics are. The movie's supposed to post the current comics or something, and in the place that Batman is, he wouldn't use guns?
Don't quote me. I got that all from her.

the movie is more dark knight returns and I think batman did kill and use guns in that novel
I haven't finished it yet, so I don't know how it all turns out, but batman offed a lot of mother f-ckers in the movie
I can't imagine that many were killed in the graphic novel

the majority of Batman lore has a 'no-killing' moral law
Snyder, with both his depiction of Superman and Batman, has really shown a critical misunderstanding of both characters
any film adaptation is like fanfiction. Snyder has just made a My Immortal level of *bad* fanfic

Yes there was a period early in the Batman comics in which Batman killed people and used guns just as there was a period in which Superman couldn't fly. Doesn't mean either is relevant to the characters as they've been known for half a century.
(Also, I know the machine gun one was wartime propaganda and every hero killed people in propaganda.

And let's not forget the armed to the frigging teeth vehicles.
So the idea that Zack Snyder committed some unspeakable heresy by getting Batman tooled up is ridiculous.

The darksied one kinda works against you, tho. Because it's clear that it's not the norm.
anyway, batman using guns was like #43 on the list of things that was wrong with the film, for me. But it's an interesting petty disregard for the character, to be sure.
On vehicles is a bit different to using them in person, too. Like in the movies, more often than not, they're used to fire on other vehicles or clear obstacles - they're more plot-deviceish than strait up murderish.
In this movie, for example, the plane shoots out the warehouse windows, or fires on doomsday to get his attention, batman doesn't gun down Lex with his car or plane.
