I went to see it w/some of my friends...and yeah the beginning was pretty slow. But after the action started it did get better. I really didn't think it was scary...but disturbing. which would explain the name of the film. But personally...I thought the movie was Ok.

WHat a sucky movie. It seemed like I was always a step ahead of the movie in terms of knowing what was going to happen next. Don't waste your time.

I liked the movie. It was really good and made me jump a couple of times...the only other horror movie that did this and was made in the 2000's is The Hills Have Eyes (a true classic). I think that horror movies made in the 90s were the best horror movies...what happenned to those writers? This movie however didn't dissapoint. And reading this I got incredibly bored with nightgoddess' restatement of how it was a ripoff over and over and over. WE GET IT! It was still good and plenty of people haven't seen that old ass movie anyway. I don't know about you guys but I were given the choice of seeing some old movie (assuming I hadn't seen it before) and seeing the newer, more upbeat one I would definitely chose the latter.

And did anyone else think they were watching a Coke commercial at the beginning with the kid and his dad?

It was way too predictable, I like David Morse, but he just couldn't make it work or believable.

Shia Labeouf is a great actor, and all of the movies/television shows I've seen with him in it are good. This seems like a movie that would be good to see.

This wasn't nearly as good as I hoped a remake of Rear Window would be - the plot seemed weak in this, a lot of stuff happened that would never happen in real life (mainly that ugly ass kid getting a girl that hot) and the acting was terrible. The movie was a snooze until the last half hour - the ending was good but that was about it. Pretty weak. I'd give it a 4.5/10

aah me so horny hmm pretty boring, but pans out nicely. not the best movie of the year, month or even week. btw night goddess i think youre coming off as a little weird by obsessing over this movie being a "rip off". all movies are just duplicates of others and you would be hard pressed to find an original.

It was okay, but so predictable. I would've liked to have seen the dude actually not be a serial killer and just a normal guy, and the kid's paranoia eventually leading to a mental breakdown where he kills the dude and then ends up in an insane asylum.

I love that song. | If you listen to the audio commentary, it says that disturbia is the first movie to ever have a SOAD song in it.
