Jesus Christ, this movie scared the hell outta me.
Its only a 15 over here, so its not violence or bloody, its just pshycological, and it farked me up badly.
Great film tho, I reccomend you watch it

One of the scariest films I've seen yet. It doesn't rely on shock value, it's genuinely very creepy.

Oh wow.. i didn't know this was shown in the west, since its a Japanese film. But i must say that yes, its really very spooky. I stayed away from the television for about 3 days.

yeah, i heard the remake is supposed to be pretty good, but i guess we'll have to wait and see. BTW, did anyone see FearDotCom? Is it just a rip off of The Ring?

RING is a fairly low budget film, but it doesn't suffer in the least for this due to it's superior story telling. There are no grandiose special affects or other contrivances to distract from the eerie tale that is at the film's core. RING is the movie that THE BLAIR WITCH project should have been... lavish in detail and complexity, sophisticated in it's meshing of the metaphysical with the modern, and thoroughly chilling in it's entirety.

I saw the remake before, and the original disapointed me a lot :|

I saw this version this weekend (as well as the remake) and enjoyed the differences. The music in this one was much creepier, and it seemed to be much simpler (less loose ends to tie up) in story.

I saw the remake last night. I'd like to watch the original, but I don't think I'd be able to find it anywhere around here.

If you've seen this, you have to see the sequel!

I don't think this one was all that scary. The music was definitely more creepy than that in "The Ring", but it didn't scare the crap out of me like I was told it would.

You know, I saw this movie the other day, and I found it very unscary, just like The Ring. I knew what was going to happen the whole time because The Ring ruined it for me, although I think their plot was probably better. The only thing that disturbed me was the fingernail thing. That bothers me in every movie. Other than that this wasn't that great.

I prefered the Ring with Naomi Watts, but maybe that was because I saw it first, so Ringu wasn't as scary for me.

I saw it last night. It's a tad better than The Ring but in some other aspects it's not as good. I liked it though.
