Some of it is interesting, but overall it's rather slow - and ultimately, it goes nowhere.
It's also not helped by the fact that Tom has done a lot better as an actor - but as for Nicole, she's never been able to act anyway.

Well i don't like this movie, i think the plot is not solid enough.. and its a bit too messy.. expected better from all the hype it had been getting.

I've read the original German novel that this film was based on and it was very weird. I might watch this film sometime to see what it's like. I hate all Kubrik films though.

what a wierd and wonderful film.i loved it.but it does have major problems,like the fact it has no plot at all.but for reason i still loved it.and all the naked hot chics was as added bonus.this is probably my second favorite Kubrick film after FMJ

I really liked this movie. I thought it was a great role for Cruise and when I watched it, it was a lot different than what I expected, in a great way.

Your take on this movie might depend upon your expectations, but I was prepared for anything and I think it has some great moments. Flawed, yes, but I saw it twice at the movies and it was good the first time and better the second. But each to his/her own...

This movie SUCKED! It made no sense, there was no plot, no story - only nudity. Which I guess is good enough reason to watch it if you want to see a lot of naked people, but if you are looking to be entertained, skip it :P
I give this a 2/10

shoot... if you're looking for nudity, get some cinema for adult viewing. your basic cinema for adult viewing flick is bound to have a better plot than this piece of crap anyway.

This movie proved to me that Nicole Kidman can't act. The scene where she was supposed to be stoned made me embarrasssed for her, truly.

I liked it. The directing was great, as with all Kubrick movies. The plot was good, it just didn't have a good ending.

I liked this movie just because of the way it was directed. I love Kubricks films and this had his trademark feel to it. However I agree that the plot didn't make a whole lot of sense, I have a few theories but it just seemed to have to many loose ends. Still worth watching though.
