I learned that the books were so sad, and that's just how I expected this movie to be. I found myself laughing, especially at "Soda, soda, banana." "Bite me!" Whenever Jim Carrey's in a movie, there's gonna be some rib-cracking moments!

I've read all the books so far (yeah, yeah I'm a nerd) and like them and the movie was alright, the best part was that Dustin Hoffman was the critic, and I also liked the animation. Someone got me the DVD for like 5 bucks and I liked the extras between Dustin Hoffman and Cedric the entertainer (as the police officer). The sets sets/locations and costumes were pretty neat too, I think I liked the visual aspects more then the actual plot.
