Yeah, I noticed that too Kiki. Oh. I gave this test to my friend (ex boyfriend) and he got the polar opposite of me. Hmm. Maybe that's why we never really clicked.

In the book I have, it talks about polar opposites being suited to mating ... ours would be an ESTP. I forget now what my husband is, I need to go find my book where I have all these written down. I think he's an INTP.

Hmm. The whole opposites attract theory? It never really worked for me. But I did go out with him (he got ESTP) so I guess I liked him at some point. This is interesting. I'm gonna make my friends take this.

Yeah they figure you make a whole, balance each other out ... I almost feel like it would just cause for a lot of tension but I'm not about to say I know more than Jung

I got INFP. It seems to fit me.
Really daydreamy but with a touch of realism.

Okay I finally dug my book out of the closet today to see if I'm remembering all these types right...let me see..

So far we have:

ESTJ: Matt2006, Map750 ... I was wrong on this, my dad is an ESTP (my exact opposite), not an ESTJ. I do know two ESTJs though, from college.

ISTJ: Blink1469, Morguebabe ... I was wrong on this one earlier too, my sister is an INTJ, not ISTJ. According to my records I've only known one other ISTJ, and not very well. I don't even remember giving him the test. Must have been one of those drunk college nights when I gave everyone else this test

INFP: Fork0, Warrick1830, Pegasus, CowDung ... this is the closest to me, I'm right on the INFJ/INFP line. Two of my best friends from college were that personality type, and my husband is this one too. I really understand this type almost as well as my own.

ISFJ: PrincessXTC, LilCookie, Glitzygiftz ... I don't have any experience with this type...

18 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 11/20/03 - 9:44:38 AM EST (GMT-5)
ISTP: LeananeSidhe ... that's what my father-in-law is!

ENTP: CheeseKing ... I don't know any others.

INTJ: Rufio, Joe0810Zep, Malletman, MildInsanity, Electric ... that's the one that one of my sister is - there sure are a lot on this site!! Wow...

ISFP: Zenkat, Zepfan ... haha that was one of my roomates in college, she was a trip

ENFP: tikleelmo2, LouTwo ... that's a pretty common type but I don't know too many of those

ESFP: Smurfman ... another one I don't know much about

INTP: Spacecat, AussieMike, Martel ... that's what my mom is but I don't think she's anything like you Mike

18 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 11/20/03 - 9:44:42 AM EST (GMT-5)
INFJ: Justme333 and ME! Along with INFPs, we are less than 1% of the population. That's why I always wonder how I know so many INFPs

ENFJ: RustedPurity, FifiPaws ... I had a couple different college suitemates with this, it's one of the most common personalities there is.

ENTJ: Explodo, Fusinki ... I don't think I know anyone with this type...

Interesting!! I can't believe how many of the rarer types there are here...

18 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 11/20/03 - 9:48:31 AM EST (GMT-5)
I know that I'm ENTJ. I've taken this a few times and that's always my result.
18 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 11/20/03 - 9:54:09 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah the neat thing about this test is you can take it over and over, even in different moods, and always get the same results. Mine has never wavered in the 15+ years since I've taken this test...

What is up with all these INTJs?! LOL one of the personality descriptors must be "loves expressing their opinions in community settings" or something

Oh wow, I took this one out of boredom and got ENTP. Never gotten that before.

Of the four aspects of strategic analysis and definition it is the functional engineering or inventive role that reaches the highest development in Inventors. It is so natural for these individuals to practice devising gadgets and mechanisms, that they start doing it even as young children. And they get such a kick out of it that they really never stop exercising their inventive bent. Of course as this kind of activity is practiced some structural engineering inevitably happens, so that the next kind of skill to develop in the Inventor is that of designing. Now planning contingencies and marshalling forces, though practiced in some degree in the course of engineering activity, develop more slowly and are soon left behind by the burgeoning of talent in engineering. However, any kind of strategic exercise tends to bring added strength to both engineering and organizing skills.

As the Inventors' engineerin

engineering capabilities increase so does their desire to let others know about whatever has come of their engineering efforts. So they tend to take up an informative role in their social exchanges. On the other hand they have less and less desire, if they ever had any, to direct the activities of others, doing so only when forced to by circumstances.

As engineers of function Inventors wish to exercise their competence in the world of people and things, and thus they deal imaginatively with social systems as well as physical and technological systems. They are very alert to what is apt to occur next-under certain conditions, if certain criteria are met-and they are always sensitive to possibilities. Found in two percent (at most) of the population, Inventors are good at functional analysis, and have both a tolerance for and enjoyment of complex problems. Outgoing and intensely
curious, Inventors are apt to express interest in finding out about everything they come into

contact with, and this can be a source of inspiration to others, who find themselves admiring the Inventor's insatiable hunger for knowledge. Inventors are also endlessly inventive, and are the most reluctant of all the types to do things in a particular manner just because that is the way things have always been done. They characteristically have an eye out for a better way, always on the lookout for new projects, new activities, new procedures. Inventors are confident in the value of their interests and display a charming capacity to ignore the standard, the traditional, and the authoritative. As a result of this innovative attitude, they often bring fresh, new approaches to their work and their lives.

You know, this actually sounds more accurate than the ENTJ description. I think I may have changed without knowing.

LOL now I'm positive the test knows all.

"ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport."

It's always right! I think it knows people better than they know themselves sometimes
