Very very cool. Odd, but I'm sure it works well for a lot of people.

I don't think those hotel owners have to worry too much about frisky customers renting out rooms just for a few hours...

I've always wanted to go to Japan and stay in one of those things. Shame I'd find it a bit claustrophobic, though.

Those hotels have a real need in Japan. After work, they/we drink hard and fast because we know that the trains stop at midnight. Can you believe that? Even in Tokyo. Then a cab ride could cost a couple hundred bucks. So these hotels are a great inexpensive idea. Trust me, there's nothing worst then being stranded in one of the worlds largest metropolis'

We need apartments like that here. I'd live in one.

See, this is where my claustrophobia would set in.

Japan has invented everything no one else will dare to think of.

Gee that was small. It looks, um, cosy.
14 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 9/2/07 - 7:34:44 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'd give it a try, then again being someone who works in the hotel business, I'm willing to try any new/funky hotel.

It seems kinda claustrophobic to me but yeah..i'd love to try it out.

Just to say it before anyone else does and blows it out of proportion. It's a semi-repost, but still interesting none the less. There was page with a guy posted a few years ago, but he paid way more than $20. It was 4500 JPY, which converts to $38. At least this one goes into greater detail.

this reminds me of that movei, 5.th element!

reasons i think its a bad idea:

1) the "room" has probably some air venting system, if we fell aslep and the power goes, cu we sufficate?

2) probably not popular with the claustrofobic

3)if theres a fire, inside the "room", wudnt we be screwd?

(i know my english is not so good)

14 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 9/2/07 - 10:16:03 AM EST (GMT-5)
I probably wouldn't mind staying in that. The only thing that's slightly bothersome is that they look like microwave morgues. I'd probably think this is even cooler if I hadn't seen this already. XD
14 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 9/2/07 - 10:18:27 AM EST (GMT-5)
Oh wait, nevermind. Not microwave style in this one. In a different place I saw them having doors on the outside instead of a curtain-like thing. Hm ...

lol on g4 they showed this
14 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 9/2/07 - 11:27:41 AM EST (GMT-5)
all they did was take the sleeping section of a normal hotel, move it, and make everything else communal, seems pretty nice to me
14 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 9/2/07 - 11:41:59 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'd stay there.
14 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 9/2/07 - 11:42:25 AM EST (GMT-5)
