13/15, I knew most, I just got one of the legal questions wrong, bc honestly I'm surprised a bible is even permitted to be read aloud in school, or any other religious text. Also I mistook the jewish sabbath for saturday ;-;

14/15.. should have gone with my first instinct and I'd have had them all. Great awakening... yeah that's as pertinent as those questions on what a teacher can do in the classroom.
Frost: the number one best selling book of all time? I don't care what faith you are, if you haven't read the Bible and live in the US, you're moron. An education that doesn't acknowledge its impact on our culture would be no education at all.

Yeah, that's the one I missed. I guess it technically starts at sundown of the previous day.

It isn't about religion, its about shared culture. You, of all people, I would think would understand that.
As a person who participates in the culture of countries that are primarily Muslim, I'd be an idiot not to read the Koran. And that's just visiting. If i chose to live there, I'd be surpassingly moronic if I didn't at least make a minor study of their primary religious text.

Of course, reading the Bible and going to seminary seem to be two f the most effective ways to create atheists, or at least antichrists (using the Biblical definition).

I agree. Not that those 2 activities make most people who've done them atheists, quite the opposite, but that you are more likely to become one after doing one of those activities than not. There's a book called "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" I don't recommend it, its an apologetics book that is incredibly dry. But, the concept is sound, if you are presented with the evidence, it kind of demands you make a choice about it.

New post, new circumstances.
I know about cultural literacy. I also know - - as every other teacher out there ought to - - that telling someone "you're moron" is an ineffective way to address it.
You were being a dick. Denying it and defending your approach makes it worse.

I don't look at everyone else as "my students". You shouldn't either... likewise every other teacher.
I'm most certainly not your student, or associate. Please take your corrections and file them accordingly.

10/15. I got the American questions wrong, the great awakening question and picked Abraham instead of Job as the one associated with suffering. I also picked saturday for the jewish sabbath

Dacash agreed with me?
I'm surprised, even two years later.
Also, since dacash was last logged in 13 hours ago, so much for all those fish, eh?
