Apple users have the money to blow on something that you could get for much cheaper.

Quite the opposite...

You could argue that Apple users have the money to spend on a superior product... and the reason they have more money is that they have higher paying jobs.

Standard deviation? Sample sizes for each category?
At least some statement about statistical significance?
No?
Call me when someone who has taken a 100-level statistics course has run the study.

Really?
Or they have parents that buy them for them.
Like hellonicole.
SHE works in a grocery store.
Pretty sure that doesn't apply to everyone.

You don't think there's a heritable component to intelligence?

Have you heard the things she's said?
(I'm kind of kidding, I like hellonicole.)
And you don't have to be smart to make a lot of money.

I happen to think Apples are worth the extra money due to the fact that they have cooler features, run better and more reliably, and look nicer. It's also good for my work as I run Windows all the time in a Window on my Mac and thus it's easy for me to test to make sure things run on both platforms. Not to mention I get to run the iPhone SDK with the iPhone simulator to make sure things work on that.

Superior? That one actually made me chuckle.
Even cheaper PCs are more powerful than Macs.

this is what I was thinking. six points doesn't really seem like a lot, but I guess I don't really know with the information given. seems like this would be an essential part if someone wanted to make a compelling argument

I was gonna say something along the lines of this, but argue that people with more scrilla can afford a better education, thus being 'smarter' (but not really)

Yes and pay your 20$ to be a developer, as apple complains you forgot to reallocate your memory. I hate iPhone programming.
I inherited a broken iMac (part of the 2008 recall)(I fix computers). Popped open the case to see what makes it tic. Nothing special, most of it was things that come in an IBM laptop, just an annoying layout making it hard not to break something, which the apple certified repair shop did. They used scotch tape to fix wires and instead of replacing the power supply, they coated it in glue.
I will pay the 150$ to replace the power supply. It makes a nice tv...
It is far from superior. Don't know what extra features you speak of, it is pretty though.

Then why do they last so much longer and run effortlessly for years while in the same time period a PC would have crapped out twice over after weeks of BS alerts and strange sounds that most people don't know why about?!
I don't care who is smarter.. I like Macs because they just work.

I had a PC repair shop for 6 years or so and have worked with Macs in corporate environs. I would buy a mac next time I think.

c'mon guys, this argument was resolved ages ago by the fair and balanced "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" advertisements.
