I feeling texting to be an essential feature of even the most simple phone. Really, address book is too. You need to be able to make phone calls, text, and store peoples' numbers in an address book. Everything else is not totally necessary.
Of course, I have an iPhone 4 with every possible thing on it including full length movies.
Absolutely perfect! I totaly want this! I can't stand the pointlessness of text messaging. It's the 21st century, at the dawn of the information age, & here are these idiots reverting back to writing telegraphs... Every time a friend texts me, I ask them, "Why didn't you just call me? Wouldn't it have been faster to say than to type?"... and this phone has no stupid games, lame ringtones, or mindless apps... & no video screen. I have a 22" computer monitor & a 52" LCD on my wall, why would I ever want to watch videos on a 3" piece of crap iphone? iphones, & all other touch-screen phones, are overrated.
If you disagree, then you're just another tool, who pays hundreds of dollars for a status symbol.
It's the 21st century, and you would prefer this smaller version of a 1980s cellphone with a contact book you have to physically write in with a pen?
Are you available to take a call at any time during the day? Are you available to MAKE a call at any time of the day? No, texts are much more flexible, especially as you can send them to multiple people at once.
And how portable is your 52" wall mounted LCD?
I'll never understand these idiots who are against advances in technology that make things more convenient seemingly BECAUSE they make things more convenient.
