You shouldn't need to translate a driver's test, lol. Speaking of which, pardon my ignorance, but what *is* a lorry?

Not too bad for someone who has never seen most of those signs.

From Wikipedia

Lorry may mean:

* A truck, a large motor vehicle designed for carrying goods. Lorry is the British English expression.
* An open railroad car (gondola) with a tipping trough, often found in mines.
* A lorry (horse-drawn): a heavy, low-loading, horsedrawn vehicle having a platform body with four small wheels mounted beneath it. The driver's seat was mounted on the headboard. (Old usage; this is the original meaning).

15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 6/8/06 - 4:30:50 AM EST (GMT-5)
21/35, but there were words i just douldn't discern like lorry roundabout and ringroad, and im guessing motorway is a highway though some of the questions would like to lead me to believe otherwise. but yeah thats much harder than the american one even without taking language into account and different signs which i wouldn't know cause they want you to know stuff about the car like tire treads and lights and signs and stuff.
15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 6/8/06 - 4:32:45 AM EST (GMT-5)
a lorry is just what you call a truck. And it needs translating from the US because believe it or not we have different road signs from you, different sides of the road and different rules
15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 6/8/06 - 5:31:06 AM EST (GMT-5)

20. The mph thing did screw me up, though. Still, I adore the metric system. I understood a fair amount of the words, though.

But some of those questions were awful. (How think should tire tread be, you're driving 60 on a clear, dry road. What's the stopping distance?)

Even if I did live in the UK, I wouldn't know it.
