I think I am neoliberal. I used to call myself libertarian but I've discovered a lot of disturbing parts of that party. 9/11 truthers and birthers. And the NRA I think is racist. IIRC Obama did NOTHING on gun control and even got an "F" from the Brady Campaign bexause of that. He made some vague statements to placate gun control warriors but as far as I can tell the only gun legislation he signed was allowing concealed carry on AmTrak. So why would the NRA pick him over Mitt Romney who wasn't very pro gun? Hint they be's racist. I'd post this on news/politics but it seems that is just news? |

i'd argue it's worse than anything conservatives on here subscribe to, since it's mostly performative and doesn't really change anything on the surface. hence why we need third parties to keep both sides in check.

Not saying the old policy was a good thing but the civil rights movement caused new problems as well.
It really is like that.

Schools and water fountains aren't segregated, but racism still exists- - no cultural change resulted from activism and legislation.
