How do you guys hard boil eggs?

My mom said just put them in water and turn on the pan and set a timer for twenty minutes. They turned out fine.

It looks like there’s very specific instructions according to some people. I just left the water boiling and shut it off when the timer went off.

Is that sacrilegious in the American South?

So this is odd.

Due to the Jif recall I had to buy Skippy. And I still had a Jif container. So I compared nutritional stuff on the labels.

And I was like… they’re basically the same and shrugged it off.

But then I questioned it and Google searched Jif versus Skippy. And they had just written down what I had just thought while reading the labels on some website. And it was a real website. And someone had been paid to write that down.

Ridiculous.

I’m going to get Chinese food later from the town I now work in.

We put the eggs in a pot of water and bring them to a boil. When they start to boil, turn off the heat and cover. 20 minutes later, the eggs are hard boiled.

When I was a kid, we ate Jif, but I don't think I have purchased that brand as an adult- - Skippy if we get it at Costco, but I usually just buy store brands.

Went with the tomato and basil sauce from Newman’s Own. I have an enormous bag of meatballs from my mother. Pasta and sauce is cheap.

The Tomato Basil was still good. I think they have a Garden Veggie Prego. The Sockarooni probably has more vegetables than the Tomato Basil.

Got to put it away still.

I also ate an entire container of hummus last night.

And went to the grocery store and bought frozen Buffalo tenders. And more hummus. I already ate about half of the new container of hummus. With baby carrots.

I’m also drinking a beer.

A craft Pilsner that’s not too bad. A little on the sweet side.
