Because you’re such a compassionate Christian who thinks that adoption is the real alternative to abortion. Or maybe it’s just lip service.

It is a real alternative to abortion. Millions of parents are seeking children to adopt.

If my wife and I were not able to have children without adoption, we would try to adopt.

My wife (as well as her brother) is living proof that adoption is an alternative to abortion.

Delusional. Adoption is an expensive and long process. Childcare after is even more expensive. Stop writing stupid tings.

I don't believe I disputed the expenses involved. Despite the cost, there are still many more parents wanting to adopt than there are children available for adoption.

The culture that you are trying to insinuate will evolve down a darker path does not exist man. There's no singular culture (which I can see you vaguely understand through your advocacy for states rights) but even in a state you aren't going to be able to apply a singular culture to that state.

You think abortions are going to go in and out of fashion like 311 boots? There will always be people who change their minds, who decide that actually they are capable of parent hood or they'll make it work or they want to experience the miracle of life and all that hoohaw.

The negative effects of abortion are actually just the negative effects of arrogant stubborn broken gel pens who should be thrown in the trash.

Who knew a dead website could be so much fun :)

I actually know a guy who can help you get a procedure that will help you give birth like a surinam toad, it costs like 10 bucks and does no damage to your psyche but it does involve removing your penis

I think a culture exists even around normal dating culture. The idea that you would want to meet someone and start a family has become taboo. You’re supposed to “get wild” and “relive your glory days” with someone and sort out anything else afterwards.

The idea that your first intention would be to settle down and start a family is taken to be assuming too much authority over a woman’s “bodily autonomy”.

It has a cultural impact.

this is the reason my wife and i are holding off on having kids. we're also both over 30 and that also has its own risks. personally, i'm pro-life and would like an abortion to be as rare as possible.

i want all children to come up in the best situation. we have inflation and a political system that wants us to stay divided and bickering with each other. my wife and i have had this discussion and we would like to adopt. but there are only so many things that we can control.

So women should be baby factories then? Forced to carry a child to term do those couples don’t have to wait anymore?

That’s about as accurate as say pro-lifers be like, that b*tch needs to hold her legs up in the air after sex so no babies juice can be aborted.

Nope. You are saying women should be forced to carry children to term to meet a need. Children then are the product. Women are then the producers of the product. Factories produce products

Yeah, dumbass, we are. This isn’t some joke. This is about basic rights. Are you really that f*cking stupid? Never mind…you’ve answered the question.
3 months ago - Wednesday 5/11/22 - 11:17:04 AM EST (GMT-5)
This is, indeed, about basic rights. I've litigated civil rights issues at the federal appellate level, so I have some understanding of the subject matter.

Thoughts and prayers for you in this difficult time.
